Machakos Education Minister Dr.Consolata Mutisya Vows To Continue Improving Quality Of Education In Machakos.

Speaking at Katangi Township Primary School in Yatta Sub-county on Friday while commissioning the newly equipped computer laboratory for the school, Machakos County Minister for education Dr.Consolata Mutisya said that she's is committed to improving the quality of education in the County, as a way of creating a promising future for all learners.

Dr.Consolata Mutisya said that her top priority is to fully improve the quality of education in Machakos County and reduce the out- of -school children.

"I'm in the department of education to provide quality education and enhance education in Machakos County. I'm committed to serving you fruitfully and am sure, I'll bring about a positive change in the sector"- said Dr.Consolata Mutisya.
 The Minister said that the only way to progress machakos is only through education, saying that she's in to bring back the focus of education in Machakos.

"I'm sure under my leadership, Machakos County will be a place of benchmarking by other Counties. Am going to make sure that I create a promising future for all learners in the County. "- added Dr.Consolata Mutisya.

Dr.Consolata Mutisya said that it is imperative that we work towards promoting the culture of reading in our youth.

The Super Minister added that through such literary festivals,the youth can be encouraged to prioritise reading and it can eventually raise a well-read and educated generation that can play a pivotal role in leading Machakos to prosperity.
She lauded Computers For Schools Kenya, Habitat For Humanity Kenya among other key partners, who collaborated to purchase of new 20 computers for Katangi Township Primary School. 

The Minister said that Governor Wavinya Ndeti is fully committed to enhancing education in Machakos County, revealing that as a way to enable students remain in school, Governor Wavinya introduced free milk for all ECDE learners, twice in a week.
