DG Francis Mwangangi attends Staff Recognition and launch of Machakos University Strategic Plan for 2023/2024-2027/2028.

The event took place today at the University Hotel and Conference Center, where DG Francis Mwangangi was the chief guest.
The plan sets the course for the institutions future and aligns with the aspirations of a dynamic and ever changing world,emphasizing growth, innovation and academic excellence.

Mwangangi commended the university's leadership led by Vice Chancellor Prof.Joyce Agalo and the University Council for their vision and dedication aimed at scaling up the heights of education at the institution to global level.
According to Mwangangi, through their strategic partnership as County Government of Machakos, they forge a path that not only enhances the university's stature but also empowers students and contributes to the common good of our society through innovation.

In attendance was Machakos Minister for Education Dr.Consolata Mutisya among many other leaders.

MACHAKOS COUNTY ATTORNEY - WAKILI JAMES KATHILI URGES MOTORISTS TO DRIVE CAREFULLY TO AVOID ACCIDENTS DURING THIS FESTIVE SEASON

Machakos County Attorney Wakili James Kathili has urged all motorists to be careful while driving to avoid accidents that tend to rise at most times during festive season. 

Addressing the Media at his office today, Wakili Kathili urged Matatu owners not to allow unauthorised drivers to drive vehicles since it's risking lives of Kenyans. 
He noted that it is important for all road users to observe speed limits as he attributed to human failure for most of the road crashes witnessed in the County.

"The traffic department has set speed limits that all drivers are required to follow. Kindly observe traffic speed limits"- said Wakili Kathili

Wakili Kathili made a plea to all drivers in Ukambani and the entire country to exercise caution while driving.

"Drivers, remember that during our driving classes we were insisted that 'you as a driver, you're the only sober driver on the road. So as you drive, don't just imagine the other drivers are okay, be careful and everything will be in control "- said Wakili Kathili.
The County Attorney Wakili James Kathili also challenged passengers not to squeeze themselves in already full capacity carrying vehicles for incase any accident occurs, insurance company won't take up, instead the insurance company will come after you"- added Wakili Kathili

He moreover asked parents not to just give out their vehicles to their children to go out for leasure during this festive season for they can bring in unnecessary problems. 

Wakili James Kathili took the opportunity to wish all Machakos residents and Kenyans atlarge Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2024 full of God's blessings and Grace.
