Regina Ndambuki, who served as MP made the announcement during an Economic Empowerment Programme held at Kasikeu Boys’ Grounds, where Deputy President Kithure Kindiki was the chief guest. The event, attended by key Kenya Kwanza leaders, drew large crowds from across Kilome and beyond—signaling a possible shift in local political dynamics.
Without directly naming names, Hon. Regina Ndambuki sent a clear signal to the current leadership, emphasizing the need for fresh and effective representation. She rallied the Kamba community to embrace the national government and actively engage with development initiatives.“It’s time for the people of Kilome and the larger Ukambani region to walk hand in hand with the government for the sake of development. We cannot afford to be left behind,” she stated, hinting at her renewed interest in reclaiming the seat.
She reiterated her support for President William Ruto’s administration, stating her focus is solely on unlocking development for her constituents. “I am not in this for position or praise. My only agenda is to bring development back to Kilome,” she asserted.Ndambuki also condemned what she termed as political thuggery, warning against leaders who use handouts to sponsor chaos at public events. “Let’s stop using young people to create division and noise. It’s time to uplift them with values, not violence,” she added.
Her re-entry into active politics is already causing unease in the camp of sitting MP Hon. Thaddeus Nzambia, who now faces a reinvigorated and experienced challenger with deep grassroots networks and national connections.
With a significant show of support from women and youth groups at the event, Ndambuki’s comeback could reshape the race for Kilome MP in 2027. All eyes are now on how the incumbent will respond to this renewed political momentum.
