Machakos MCA Annastacia Mutevu Calls On Women To Go For Elective Seats.

Machakos Wiper Nominated MCA - Annastacia Mutevu has today challenged women to rise to power and go for elective seats.

Speaking to Media at Machakos Social Hall while attending Women Empowerment Forum by FIDA Kenya, Annastacia Mutevu has said that women should not shy away from politics, for it's an equal task with any other that women perform as leaders. 

"Don't fear our men. Let's not shy away from politics. Let's go for elective seats and fight out for them with our male counterparts ," said Annastacia Mutevu
The MCA - Annastacia Mutevu said that although today's political scene is marred by misogyny and insults, women should develop a thick skin for them to be elected as leaders.

“When seeking political seats, women face a lot of challenges including threats, insults, and sometimes violence, but these should not discourage you. Let's be firm and go for elective seats ," said Annastacia Mutevu

She called on women to vie for elective positions to have their voices heard and contribute to the development of the country.

She further challenged women to be ready to support their own, stating that they should always be in the forefront to support their fellow females to ascend to leadership positions.
