Members are on a comprehensive oversight activity on all agriculture projects across the 30 wards in the County.
Key among the issues featuring in the projects include determination of scope of works, whether projects are stalled or not, value for money and operational efficiency where projects are complete.
Through the oversight, the Assembly further seeks to understand any operational challenges, the training capacity of staff and any other emerging issues within under the projects.
The Assembly is also focusing on flagship projects within the department among them Kikima Dairy Processing Plant in Mbooni, Makueni County Fruit Processing Plant in Kalamba, Makueni Agricultural Training Centre at Kwa Kathoka in Muvau/Kikumini and Kasikeu Milling Plant in Kasikeu.
The Committee on Agriculture will consolidate the findings on the oversight and prepare a report with remedial interventions in form of recommendations for approval by the house.
