Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti, together with her Deputy Governor Francis Mwangangi Kilonzo, have asked President William Ruto to be humane enough and lower the cost of living and ease Kenyans the burden of high taxation.
Speaking at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church Katoloni in Machakos Town Constituency while attending church service on Sunday, the two top county bosses, Wavinya & Mwangangi urged President William Ruto to review taxes and bring them down where possible to help stop burdening Kenyans at this hard economic times.
"The cost of living is so high. Taxation is increasing on a daily basis. Kenyans are suffering. Kindly, President William Ruto, review the taxes and bring them down, " said Governor Wavinya
The two challenged President William Ruto to look for an alternative means of generating revenue instead of increasing taxes.
"The high taxation is frustrating innocent Kenyans. Look for alternative means of generating revenue for development in the country instead of taxing Kenyans heavily, " DG Francis Mwangangi said
Mwangangi added that taxation is not a remedy for solving the development needs of Kenyans.
According to Mwangangi, families can no longer meet their daily needs due to the increased taxation on basic commodities.
Addressing the faithfuls, the two, Governor Wavinya and DG Mwangangi, rallied for Kalonzo Musyoka's Presidency, saying that it's the high time the Kamba Community and the entire country at large, supports the most honest leader, Kalonzo, who will bring down taxation and steer Kenya to the right direction.
