David Mbiti Wambuli Technical and Vocational College (TVC) has marked a historic achievement by hosting the KATTI Northern Region Drama and Music Festivals for the first time, bringing together 24 colleges from Makueni, Kitui, Garissa, Wajir, and Mandera counties.
Speaking to RADA TV/RADA FM ONLINE, the college’s Principal, Madam Eunice Mwongeli, expressed her joy over the event and its significance for the institution.
"This is a great honor for our college. Hosting the KATTI Northern Region Drama and Music Festivals is a moment of pride, and we are excited to provide a platform for students to showcase their talents," she stated.
She emphasized that the festival serves as a talent hub, giving students a chance to nurture their creative abilities.
"People can excel through talent. This festival is proof that skills in drama and music can open many opportunities for young people," she added.
Madam Mwongeli further thanked Mbooni MP Hon. Kivasu Nzioka for his unwavering support in the development of the institution, highlighting his efforts in student sponsorships and infrastructure improvements.
"Hon. Kivasu Nzioka has been instrumental in transforming this college. His support has made a significant impact on the education and lives of our students," she noted.
Established in September 2018, David Mbiti Wambuli TVC has grown into a prestigious institution with over 1,000 students from diverse backgrounds. The Principal urged more students to enroll, reaffirming the college’s commitment to both academic excellence and talent development.
The Drama and Music Festivals will conclude on Saturday, March 15, 2025, with participating students expected to depart for their respective institutions on Sunday, March 16, 2025.
