Former Machakos Gubernatorial Aspirant Nzioka Waita has extended his heartfelt wishes to Catholics as they embark on the Lenten season. In his message, Waita emphasized the importance of humility, spiritual renewal, and acts of kindness during this sacred period.
"As we begin this Lenten season, may we embrace humility, seek renewal, and commit to acts of kindness and faith," he stated.
Ash Wednesday, which marks the beginning of Lent, is a significant day in the Christian calendar. It is observed through fasting, prayer, and receiving ashes as a sign of repentance. The 40-day period leading up to Easter is a time for reflection and strengthening one's faith.
