Machakos Deputy Governor Hon. Francis Mwangangi has strongly criticized leaders from the Kamba community who recently attended a delegation meeting with President William Ruto at State House, branding them as political brokers.
Speaking to the media from his office, DG Mwangangi dismissed the meeting as a political sideshow with no tangible benefits for the region’s development. “Development is not achieved by going to State House,” he said, emphasizing that true service to the people must be grounded in action, not photo opportunities.
The Deputy Governor further described the gathering as a waste of time, accusing the attendees of attempting to undermine Wiper Party leader Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
“We are headed into a political season where brokers will flood the scene. Kenyans must be wary of such tactics meant to divide communities and weaken genuine leadership,” Mwangangi warned.
His remarks come amid growing tension within the Ukambani political landscape, as some leaders appear to be realigning ahead of the next polls.
