MP KIVASU NZIOKA CONDEMNS TRAGIC DEATH OF FAITH MWENDE WHO WAS SET ABLAZE BY HER HUSBAND

The Member of National Assembly for Mbooni, Hon. Kivasu Nzioka, today attended the final send-off of the late Faith Mwende Kioo at Kitandi Village, Kako Location, Waia/Kako Ward in Mbooni, Makueni County.

Faith tragically lost her life after being set ablaze by her 'alleged husband' at her residence in Emali. The boyfriend locked the house after setting the fire, perishing inside, while Faith managed to escape with severe burns. She was rushed to Kilome Nursing Home and later transferred to Kenyatta National Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries on the night of 5th May 2025.
She was the beloved daughter of Kako Location Senior Chief, Johnbosco Kioo Kisambo, and a mother of two young children.

In his heartfelt address during the burial, Hon. Kivasu condemned the brutal and inhumane act that led to Faith’s painful death. He emphasized that relationships and marriages must be rooted in peace and mutual respect, and that no one has the right to take another person's life.
Hon.Kivasu also called on the family to remain strong and anchored in faith during this heartbreaking time, reaffirming his unwavering commitment to serving the people of Mbooni with compassion.

May the soul of the late Faith Mwende rest in eternal peace.
