Kibwezi West MP Hon. Mwengi Mutuse on Friday evening presided over a major fundraising event at UNOA Comprehensive School in Wote, Makueni Constituency, aimed at purchasing a school bus for the institution.
UNOA, the largest public primary school in Makueni, has long needed a bus to support academic and co-curricular activities. Speaking during the event, Hon. Mutuse emphasized the importance of investing in education infrastructure and commended the school fraternity for taking initiative.
“I’m proud to stand with UNOA on this important journey. This is not just about a bus — it’s about opportunity, access, and the future of our children,” said the MP.
He was joined by a host of distinguished guests, including Judicial Service Commission member Caroline Nzilani, SEZA chair Fred Muteti, and Dr. Andrew Mulwa from the Ministry of Health, among other local leaders.
In his remarks, Hon. Mutuse noted that the day’s event demonstrated that wananchi are focused on real development rather than political rhetoric. He pledged continued support to ensure UNOA achieves its vision.
“Asanteni sana, UNOA fraternity, for your unity and determination. We shall walk with you until this dream is fulfilled,” he added.
The event was marked by strong community support and optimism for the future of education in the region.
