“Chukueni Kura!” – Sadjah Philippe Rallies Gen Z for 2027 Ballot Revolution

Sadjah Philippe has issued a bold call to action to Kenya’s Generation Z, urging them to prepare for a ballot revolution in 2027 by registering to vote and kicking out what he calls the old political guard.

In a viral post that’s now circulating widely on social media, Philippe said:

“What’s next for the future Gen Z? Tujipange vizuri... Chukueni Kura!!! That’s the only weapon to send WAZEE home 🏠!!! They must retire in 2027. THE BALLOT 🗳️ REVOLUTION.”

The statement has captured the frustration — and growing ambition — of Kenya’s youth, many of whom feel excluded from economic opportunities and governance decisions.

With more than half of Kenya’s population under 35, Gen Z holds the potential to swing elections. But low voter turnout and disillusionment have often watered down their power. Philippe’s message aims to change that.

“It’s about power. Real power. Not hashtags. Not trends. The ballot is our only weapon,” said one youth activist in Machakos reacting to the post.

The phrase “Chukueni Kura” is now trending, as a growing number of young Kenyans pledge to register and vote.

Political observers say if this energy is turned into action, Kenya may witness one of the most youth-driven elections in its history come 2027.
