The project, fully lobbied for by Yatta MP Hon.Robert Basil, marks a significant step in enhancing road safety, boosting night-time security, and opening the door for a thriving 24-hour economy in the town.

BasilResidents and local traders have welcomed the development, saying it brings renewed confidence to operate businesses during late hours, reduces crime, and improves mobility for pedestrians and motorists alike.
“We can now operate longer, and our customers feel safer. This is a huge win for Katangi,” said Agnes Mwikali, a shopkeeper near the market.
