PS TERRY MBAIKA EMPOWERS GROUPS IN KEE & KILUNGU WARDS WITH FUNDING FOR INCOME-GENERATING PROJECTS

Principal Secretary Hon. Terry Mbaika has disbursed empowerment funds to various organized groups in Kee and Kilungu wards, providing them with the much-needed capital to launch and expand income-generating projects that will boost household incomes and improve community livelihoods.

Addressing residents during the handover ceremonies, Hon. Mbaika said the funding will enable beneficiaries—especially women and youth—to engage in sustainable economic activities that will not only uplift their families but also contribute to the overall growth of the local economy.

“I encourage everyone to get into organized groups that can benefit from structured ways of lifting each other and contributing to the country's overall economy,” she urged.

She further noted that the empowerment initiative is in line with President Dr. William Ruto’s economic transformation agenda, which places emphasis on enabling women and young people to fully exploit their talents and potential.

Hon. Mbaika expressed confidence that the funded projects will stimulate job creation, promote self-reliance, and strengthen the social and economic fabric of Kee and Kilungu wards. She reaffirmed her commitment to supporting similar initiatives that drive inclusive development and community resilience.
