The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has officially cleared Antony Kisoi to contest in the upcoming Mumbuni North Ward by-election on a Wiper Democratic Movement (Wiper Patriotic Front) ticket.
Speaking after receiving his clearance certificate, Kisoi described the moment as a defining milestone in his journey of public service, pledging to bring youthful energy, integrity, and a results-oriented approach to local leadership.
“The people of Mumbuni North are ready for a youthful, energetic, and visionary leader who will listen, act, and deliver results that uplift every household and empower our community,” Kisoi said.
“With faith in God and a deep commitment to serve, I step forward to champion development, unity, and accountability for all.”
Kisoi emphasized that his campaign would focus on practical solutions to everyday challenges facing residents, including improving infrastructure, empowering youth and women, and enhancing service delivery across the ward.
The Wiper candidate’s clearance adds fresh momentum to the party’s grassroots efforts in Machakos County, where Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka continues to command significant political influence. Kisoi’s entry into the race is expected to inject vibrancy into the contest, which has drawn attention from both local and regional political observers.
Supporters have rallied behind his message of renewal and transformation under the slogan “Mumbuni North is ready for change — and together, we shall make it happen.”
The Mumbuni North Ward by-election is scheduled for later this year, with several candidates vying to represent residents in the Machakos County Assembly.
