Machakos senatorial aspirant Dr. Daniel Yumbya on Thursday held an interactive consultative meeting with opinion leaders from Kathiani Subcounty, where they discussed key issues touching on representation, development, and effective oversight.
The meeting, described by participants as both engaging and visionary, sought to strengthen collaboration between community leaders and political stakeholders ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Dr. Yumbya, who has declared interest in the Machakos Senate seat, emphasized the importance of inclusive leadership and accountability, saying he is committed to ensuring that all subcounties benefit equally from national resources.
“Their support and commitment towards our shared vision for progress truly inspire me. I assure them — I will not let them down,” he said.
He thanked the people of Kathiani for their continued encouragement and trust in his leadership, describing the subcounty as a cornerstone of his political journey.
“East or West, home is the best. Thank you, Kathiani,” he added.
Dr. Yumbya’s campaign, running under the slogan ‘Leadership With a Purpose’, continues to gain traction across Machakos as he engages residents and opinion leaders on matters of governance, development, and service delivery.
