Hon. Francis Kitaka Rallies Behind Kalonzo, Calls for a People-Driven Government

Ndalani Ward MCA and Aspiring Yatta MP Hon. Francis Kitaka has reaffirmed his strong support for Wiper Patriotic Front Leader H.E. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, declaring him as the most suitable leader to steer Kenya toward unity and progress. Speaking during the United Opposition tour that covered Masii, Wamunyu, Katangi, and Kyua, Kitaka emphasized the need to form a government of the people and for the people, signaling renewed momentum within the opposition.
The high-profile tour brought together top opposition figures, including Deputy President H.E. Rigathi Gachagua, Hon. Eugene Wamalwa, Hon. Mithika Linturi, and Hon. Martha Karua, alongside Machakos Governor H.E. Wavinya Ndeti and Deputy Governor H.E. Francis Mwangangi. The leaders addressed massive crowds in various stopovers, sending a strong message of unity and resistance against bad governance while promoting a shared reform agenda ahead of 2027.
In his address, Hon. Kitaka called for a transformative leadership approach that centers on ordinary citizens’ needs. He said Kenyans are yearning for leadership that listens, serves, and empowers communities at the grassroots. “The time has come to rebuild a government that works for the people. We must unite under Kalonzo’s vision and reclaim our nation’s dignity,” he remarked amid cheers from the charged crowd.

Kitaka praised Kalonzo Musyoka’s humility, consistency, and statesmanship, describing him as a unifying figure with a proven record of integrity and national service. “No doubt, Kalonzo is the 6th President of Kenya,” he declared, reaffirming his commitment to rally Yatta residents and the broader Lower Eastern region behind Kalonzo’s presidential bid. His remarks echoed a growing wave of support across Machakos and neighboring counties.
The Masii tour, part of a broader United Opposition campaign trail, underscored the movement’s drive to connect with citizens and strengthen grassroots structures. Leaders present vowed to continue championing issues affecting ordinary Kenyans, including the rising cost of living, unemployment, and governance reforms. The rallies highlighted the opposition’s shared belief that Kenya’s next government must prioritize inclusivity, accountability, and people-centered development under Kalonzo’s leadership.
