The upcoming Connected Africa Summit 2024 will be a great platform for Africa to deliberate on policy, legal and regulatory matters of ICT.

Speaking during a media briefing held at Uhuru Gardens, the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy, Mr. Eliud Owalo espoused that the Summit will offer a rare opportunity for key stakeholders to share ideas on technological innovations and benchmarking on Africa's best case practices.

The CS appreciated the support of key partners who have sponsored the Connected Africa Summit and pointed out the important role played by the private sector in digital transformation.

His sentiments were echoed by the ICT and Digital Economy Principal Secretary, Eng. John Tanui, who called upon the private sector to continue supporting the Government in planning of Connected Africa Summits in future.
In attendance were ICTA Board Chair Mr. Sylvanus Maritim, ICTA CEO Stanley Kamanguya, ICTA Board members, ODPC Data Commissioner Immaculate Kassait, KONZA Technopolis CEO John Okwiri, KIMC CEO Peter Wakoli, Kenya Yearbook Editorial Board CEO Lilian Kimeto, Senior officials from the Ministry, stakeholders and partners from the private sector.

Partners present were from Team Europe, Safaricom, Huawei, Cisco, Aws, Amazon, among others.
