MCA Hon. Darius Mainga Condemns Victimization of JSS Teachers, Vows to Facilitate Transfers Back to Mbooni

Kiteta/Kisau Ward MCA, Hon. Darius Mainga, has raised concerns over the victimization of Junior Secondary School (JSS) teachers within his ward by officials from the Sub-County Education offices in Mbooni.

Speaking during a church service at AIC Ngaa Muunyini DCC earlier today, Hon. Mainga revealed that following a recent meeting on education enhancement, it came to his attention that many teachers from his ward were being unfairly targeted.
"Let you not victimize teachers because I had a meeting with them," the MCA firmly stated, criticizing the ongoing mistreatment. He urged the education officials to let teachers carry out their duties without undue pressure, emphasizing that such victimization only hampers the education system.

During his address, Hon. Mainga noted that the affected teachers play a critical role in ensuring the success of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) at the Junior Secondary level. He further stressed the importance of maintaining a supportive environment for teachers, highlighting that victimization not only demoralizes them but also affects student performance.
Hon. Mainga also extended a helping hand to JSS teachers from his ward who are currently teaching outside Mbooni Constituency but wish to return. He urged them to apply for transfers, assuring that he will personally follow up to ensure their requests are honored.

"I am committed to supporting our teachers, and for those who want to return to their home wards to teach, I will work to make sure they are brought back to the constituency. This will not only ease their work but also strengthen the education system in Mbooni," he stated.
By encouraging teachers to return, the MCA believes that more staff in the constituency's schools will improve the student-teacher ratio and enhance the quality of education. He concluded by calling on all stakeholders in the education sector to focus on constructive collaboration rather than victimization, for the benefit of both teachers and students.
