GDDP Party Leader & Kangundo MP Hon. Fabian Kyule Muli Calls for Public Sensitization on New Health Schemes and Livestock Vaccination

Kangundo MP and GDDP Party Leader Hon. Fabian Kyule Muli has urged the Ministry of Health to conduct extensive public awareness campaigns on the recently introduced SHIF/SHA healthcare plans by the government. Speaking at the party offices in Kangundo earlier today, Hon. Muli highlighted widespread confusion among citizens regarding the purpose, structure, and benefits of the new healthcare schemes that replaced NHIF.

"The SHIF and SHA plans are complicated for many people to understand. The Ministry of Health must get to the ground and explain how they work and why this shift was necessary," he said.
The legislator also addressed concerns about the ongoing livestock vaccination initiative, emphasizing that government-employed veterinary officers should take a more active role in educating Kenyans, especially in rural areas, about the program's benefits.

"Politicians often talk about these programs, but it's the veterinary officers on the ground who should be sensitizing the people. Only through proper awareness will Kenyans appreciate the advantages of vaccinating their livestock," he added.

Hon. Muli called for coordinated efforts by the relevant ministries to ensure both human and animal health initiatives are effectively communicated to the public.
