MCA Justus Mwanzia Muema Celebrates Landmark Decision Declaring Konza City Part of Makueni County

Kiima Kiu/Kalanzoni Ward MCA Justus Mwanzia Muema has lauded the National Government's historic resolution to declare Konza City officially part of Makueni County. The decision ends a long-standing boundary dispute between Machakos and Makueni Counties, bringing immense benefits to the residents of Makueni.

The landmark ruling means all land records for the disputed areas in the Konza region will be transferred from the Machakos Land Registry to the Wote Land Registry starting December 30, 2024. This move is expected to streamline land administration and attract more investments to the area.
MCA Muema expressed his gratitude to key leaders, including Makueni Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr., Kilome MP Eng. Thuddeus Nzambia, Makueni Woman Representative Rose Museo, and all other stakeholders who worked tirelessly to secure this victory for Makueni County.

"This is a transformative moment for Kiima Kiu/Kalanzoni Ward and Makueni at large. Having Konza City officially within our borders opens up immense opportunities for development and prosperity," said MCA Muema.

He highlighted the collaborative efforts of leaders from Makueni County and the National Government in resolving the boundary dispute and securing the region's rightful claim to the Konza Technopolis.
In addition to celebrating the boundary resolution, MCA Muema urged drivers to exercise caution during the festive season to prevent road accidents and save lives. "Let's ensure we have a safe and joyful holiday season by driving carefully and responsibly," he advised.

This monumental decision not only enhances Makueni's economic prospects but also solidifies its territorial boundaries, positioning the county for significant growth and development in the years to come.
