Kiteta/Kisau Ward MCA, Hon. Darius Mainga, has issued a heartfelt appeal to parents and guardians, urging them to prioritize the safety and well-being of their children during the festive season. Addressing residents during a community event, the MCA emphasized that the season, while joyous, often presents unique risks to children due to increased mobility, festivities, and sometimes reduced supervision.
"I urge parents to be vigilant and ensure their children are safe, whether at home, in social gatherings, or while traveling," Hon. Mainga said. "Let’s teach them about safety, be mindful of their whereabouts, and create a nurturing environment that allows them to enjoy the holiday season without harm."
He also took the opportunity to extend warm Christmas and New Year greetings to the residents of Kiteta/Kisau Ward and Kenyans at large. "May this season bring joy, peace, and blessings to every household. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous Happy New Year 2025," he said, adding that the festive season is a time for love, unity, and reflection.
The MCA further highlighted the need for political tolerance as a cornerstone of progress and coexistence. "As leaders and citizens, let’s embrace political differences as a strength rather than a weakness. We must unite and focus on the common good for the betterment of our communities," he stated.
Hon. Mainga concluded by reaffirming his dedication to serving the people of Kiteta/Kisau Ward and advocating for initiatives that enhance children’s welfare, security, and community harmony. He called upon stakeholders, leaders, and parents to collectively ensure the festive season is marked by safety, peace, and shared prosperity.
