Former Machakos County gubernatorial aspirant Nzioka Waita has extended his heartfelt Christmas and New Year wishes to Machakos residents and Kenyans across the country.
In an exclusive interview with Rada TV, Waita emphasized the importance of family, unity, and love during the festive season, urging Kenyans to prioritize peace and harmony not only during celebrations but in their day-to-day lives.
“This is the time for families to come together, share love, and embrace peace. Let us strengthen our bonds and continue building unity, not just for the festive season but for the future of our nation,” said Waita.
Reflecting on the year's challenges, including economic hardships, Waita acknowledged the resilience of Kenyans and encouraged them to approach 2025 with renewed hope and optimism. He called on leaders at all levels to foster dialogue and reconciliation to ensure a peaceful environment for development.
The former State House Chief of Staff also took the opportunity to urge residents to uphold safety during the festivities, including road safety and responsible celebrations.
“To my fellow Kenyans, let us celebrate responsibly, care for one another, and avoid situations that could lead to harm. Let’s enter the new year with health, joy, and the spirit of togetherness,” Waita added.
Waita commended community initiatives promoting acts of kindness, charity, and support for the less fortunate during this season, highlighting their critical role in strengthening social cohesion.
He concluded by reminding Kenyans of the power of unity, urging everyone to look beyond their differences and work together toward a brighter future for the country.
