Mukaa Girls High School Principal, Dr. Jackline Muthama, has credited stakeholder collaboration and strategic leadership as key drivers behind the school’s recent academic success.
Speaking during an exclusive interview with Rada TV today at her office, Dr. Jackline Muthama revealed that she joined the school in February 2024 with a vision to transform it into a Center of Excellence for girl-child education in Kenya.
"It is possible, it is attainable," she affirmed confidently.
Located five kilometers from Mombasa Road near Enzai Market in Kilome Constituency, Makueni County, along the Salama-Nunguni Road, the school has grown steadily since its inception in 2003.
Upon her appointment, the Principal, Dr. Jackline Muthama focused on consolidating efforts from key stakeholders, including teachers, parents, and the school sponsor—the ABC Church. Her efforts bore fruit as 66 out of the 108 candidates for the 2024 KCSE exams qualified for university admission, achieving a 61% success rate, up from 58% in 2023 & the rest to tertiary institutions.
"We had passionate and disciplined candidates despite their initial academic challenges, and I am proud of their achievement," she noted.
The school's chairman, Mr. Muuo Ndiku, was also lauded for fostering unity and support among stakeholders.
Looking ahead, the Principal emphasized her commitment to further elevating the school’s performance and called on parents to continue supporting their children's education.
"Under my leadership, Mukaa Girls High School will never be the same again," she concluded confidently.
