Earlier today, MCSK CEO Dr. Ezekiel Mutua joined Senator Hezena Lemaletian, Tony Buluma Samba, and other young leaders during a Kenya Young Parliamentarians Association (KYPA) meeting held in the Mini Chambers at Parliament Buildings to commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Themed "Protecting Freedom, Justice, and Democracy in the Spirit of Non-Violence," the event brought together youth leaders from across the country, providing an excellent platform for networking and collaboration.
In his keynote address, Dr. Mutua emphasized the need for young leaders to support one another and reject manipulation by older politicians to undermine each other. He urged them to adopt non-violent strategies in the fight against injustice and bad governance.
“Integrity and hard work should be the cornerstone of your leadership journey,” Dr. Mutua said, further advising young leaders to use social media responsibly to expand their knowledge and build valuable networks.
Dr. Mutua lauded KYPA for its efforts in nurturing leadership talent and pledged his unwavering support for such initiatives, noting their importance in mentorship and economic empowerment.
The meeting served as a strategic forum for discussing youth leadership and its role in fostering justice, democracy, and unity in Kenya.
