Kibwezi West MP Hon. Mwengi Mutuse has taken a bold step toward transforming Masamukye, a historically marginalized area, by spearheading key development projects aimed at improving education, infrastructure, and economic opportunities for residents.
During a visit to the area yesterday, Hon. Mutuse inspected the ongoing modernization of the local school, emphasizing the need for quality education as a foundation for progress. He also reiterated his commitment to ensuring the electrification of Masamukye, a crucial step toward boosting development and improving the quality of life for residents.
A significant highlight of his tour was the plan to develop a unique natural wonder in the area—an underground spring that produces hot water. The MP envisions turning this into a tourist attraction site to generate revenue and create employment opportunities for the local community.
In addition to infrastructure and economic empowerment, Hon. Mutuse addressed the pressing issue of historical land disputes in Masamukye and other parts of lower Nguu. He assured residents that efforts are underway to resolve these challenges, ensuring that people can securely own and live comfortably on the land they occupy.
"Asanteni sana watu wangu Masamukye. You have my support," Hon. Mutuse affirmed, pledging to continue advocating for the region’s development.
