Governor Wavinya Ndeti Opens 2025 Machakos KESSHA Conference, Reaffirms Commitment to Quality Education

Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti has reaffirmed her administration’s unwavering commitment to improving education in the county, emphasizing the critical role of school leadership in shaping future generations.

Speaking at the official opening of the 2025 Machakos Chapter KESSHA (Kenya Secondary School Heads Association) conference held at the Mombasa Continental Resort, Governor Wavinya highlighted education as the backbone of her development agenda.

“Education remains at the heart of my vision for a thriving Machakos. My continued efforts are focused on strengthening school leadership and investing in systems that deliver better learning outcomes for every child in our county,” she stated.
This year’s conference theme, “Embracing Pathways in Senior School Education,” aligns with the ongoing national reforms aimed at enhancing the competence-based curriculum (CBC) and transitioning to specialized pathways in senior secondary education.

Governor Wavinya praised teachers, referring to them as “the greatest parents nurturing not just minds, but futures,” and pledged her continued support to ensure equitable access to quality education.
She wished all school heads success as they deliberate on strategies to advance education standards across Machakos, noting their central role in mentoring and shaping generations.

The conference brings together secondary school heads from across Machakos County for key discussions on leadership, policy implementation, and emerging educational trends.
