Hon. Annastacia Wayua Munyaka Officially Assumes Office as Machakos CEC for Water and Environment

Hon. Annastacia Wayua Munyaka has officially assumed office as the new Machakos County Executive Committee (CEC) Member for Water, Irrigation, Sanitation, Environment, and Climate Change after taking the oath of office last Friday.

The handover ceremony, attended by various departmental chief officers and officials from the ministry, marked the formal transition of leadership. Hon. Annastacia takes over from Hon. Consolata Mutisya, who has been serving in an acting capacity.

In her inaugural address, Hon. Annastacia pledged to steer the department to greater heights, emphasizing her commitment to ensuring Machakos residents have access to clean and safe water. She also underscored the importance of sustainable environmental conservation and climate change mitigation efforts in the county.

Her appointment is expected to bring renewed energy and direction to the department, with a focus on improving water supply, sanitation, and environmental sustainability in Machakos County.
