In his continued effort to ensure balanced development, Kibwezi West MP Hon. Mwengi Mutuse has announced a major rural electrification initiative targeting villages in Kamboo sub-location that have never accessed electricity since independence.
During his visit to Yindalani and Kandenja villages, Hon. Mutuse revealed that through the Rural Electrification and Renewable Energy Corporation (REREC), a new power line will be constructed to cover Musingini, Kandenja, and Yindalani at a cost of Ksh. 13.6 million.
He further disclosed that a new transformer will be installed at Kamboo Market in the coming days, marking the final step in the town’s electrification.
“This is part of a robust electrification program that we’re rolling out across the constituency through both KPLC’s Last Mile Connectivity and REREC,” the MP stated.
Beyond electrification, Hon. Mutuse also commissioned two newly built classrooms at Yindalani Primary School, reflecting his commitment to improving educational infrastructure.
“In my leadership, no one will be left behind. I am determined to uplift the regions that have lagged behind so they can catch up with the rest of the constituency,” he said.
He closed his remarks by thanking the residents for their support and warm welcome:
“Asanteni sana, my good people, for your wonderful love. May God bless you abundantly.”
