DG Mwangangi Calls for Collective Responsibility in Ensuring Devolution Works

Machakos Deputy Governor Francis Mwangangi has emphasized the need for all leaders, regardless of their position in society, to play an active role in ensuring devolution works effectively.

Speaking during an interview at NTV, Mwangangi noted that devolution remains the most effective avenue for driving social and economic transformation at the grassroots level.

"All leaders have a duty to ensure devolution works, regardless of their role in society. This is the only way to bring real social and economic change from the very bottom," said the Deputy Governor.

He further stressed that successful devolution requires close collaboration between national and county governments, as well as constant dialogue with citizens to understand their needs and priorities.

"We must work together – both at the national and county levels – and engage the public consistently to ensure development is people-driven and sustainable," he added.

Mwangangi reiterated his administration's commitment to strengthening service delivery and promoting inclusive growth across all wards in Machakos County.
