Kalonzo Celebrates Palm Sunday Mass in Mwingi, Urges Kenyans to Remain Hopeful Amid Challenges

Wiper Party Leader H.E. Kalonzo Musyoka on Sunday joined worshippers at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Mwingi Central, Kitui County, to celebrate Palm Sunday Mass and mark the beginning of Holy Week.

Speaking during the spiritually significant event, Kalonzo described the moment as a privilege, especially in light of the Jubilee Year and its powerful theme: “Pilgrims of Hope.”

"It was a real privilege to celebrate Palm Sunday Mass and kick off Holy Week with pilgrims today at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Mwingi Central," Kalonzo said, addressing a packed congregation.

At a time when the country is grappling with political and socio-economic uncertainty, Kalonzo urged Kenyans not to lose sight of the spiritual meaning of the season. “While our country is going through a difficult moment, we must not lose sight of the importance of Palm Sunday this Jubilee Year and the theme 'Pilgrims of Hope',” he stated.
He encouraged the faithful to anchor their expectations in God’s promises, emphasizing faith as a source of strength during trying times. “As we reflect on the meaning of Holy Week, have confident expectation of what God has promised and its strength is in His faithfulness,” Kalonzo affirmed.

The former Vice President’s presence and message offered both spiritual encouragement and a reminder of the role of faith in sustaining national hope and unity during uncertain times.
