MP KIVASU NZIOKA EMPOWERS MBOONI WOMEN WITH KSHS 2.6 MILLION ENTERPRISE FUND

In a significant boost to women’s economic empowerment in Mbooni Constituency, Member of National Assembly Hon. Kivasu Nzioka, accompanied by First Lady Juliana Kivasu, today issued Women Enterprise Fund (WEF) cheques worth Kshs 2.6 million to seven women groups during a colourful ceremony held at Tawa Social Hall.

The event, which brought together the beneficiary groups, local leaders, and aspiring entrepreneurs who witnessed the MP’s continued dedication to uplifting women-led initiatives. Hon. Kivasu emphasized that empowering women is central to the constituency’s development agenda.

"This fund is not just about money, it’s about trust, opportunity, and transformation. We believe in the power of women to change homes, communities, and the entire constituency,” stated the MP.

In addition to cheque disbursement, several new women groups were present to undergo training on how to access and properly utilize the fund in future cycles. This capacity-building session aimed at fostering sustainability and accountability in managing the financial resources.

Beneficiaries expressed gratitude, lauding the MP for his unwavering support in promoting women’s economic growth.

The event concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthening grassroots development through inclusive programs.
