Construction has officially resumed on the Mwanyani-Ikulu-Katoloni road, bringing relief to residents after more than a year of stalled progress. The current works focus on gabion installation and general road improvements.
Machakos Town MP Hon. Caleb Mule confirmed the development, noting that his intervention with the Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) played a crucial role in unlocking the delays.
“I am glad to report that construction has resumed on the Mwanyani-Ikulu-Katoloni road, with ongoing works on gabions and road improvements. After a delay of over a year, I reached out to the Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) for intervention. I'm pleased to see that progress is finally being made,” said Hon. Mule.
The resumption of the project is expected to improve connectivity and ease transportation challenges for local residents and businesses.
