The initiative, spearheaded by Machakos Town MP Hon. Caleb Mule Mutiso, aims to enhance connectivity, improve transportation efficiency, and boost economic activities in the region. The ongoing works include grading, patching, drainage clearance, and leveling, all aimed at ensuring the road remains passable throughout the year.
Hon. Caleb Mule, known for his hands-on approach to development, reiterated his commitment to improving road infrastructure in all corners of the constituency. “We understand how crucial good roads are for access to markets, schools, hospitals, and other essential services. That’s why we’ve prioritized this maintenance to ease the movement of people and goods,” he stated.
Local residents have welcomed the project, expressing relief and appreciation for the MP’s timely intervention. “This road has been a challenge during rainy seasons. With these repairs, we can now transport our farm produce and travel with less difficulty,” said Esther Ndunge, a trader at Chai Moto market.
