Kibwezi West MP Hon. Mwengi Mutuse has today officially handed over a newly completed semi-Olympic swimming pool at Kalulini High School — a major boost for sports and extracurricular activities in the region.

The state-of-the-art facility, which will also serve nearby schools, is expected to enhance learning through practical lessons and provide a platform for nurturing talent.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, Hon. Mutuse emphasized his commitment to transforming education in Kibwezi West, pledging to champion the elevation of Kalulini High School to national school status.

“Kalulini is the biggest and among the oldest schools in Kibwezi and Makueni. It deserves national recognition,” said the legislator.

Hon. Mutuse also appreciated his predecessor, Hon. Dr. Patrick Musimba, for initiating the project. He noted that under his administration, the project was successfully completed with Ksh. 9 million in savings through a labor-based implementation model.

He extended gratitude to the Principal, Board of Management, Parents Association, teachers, students, and parents for their support and warm welcome.

“As we discussed today, education remains our number one priority. I will continue supporting infrastructure and programs that uplift our schools,” Hon. Mutuse assured.

The event marks a new chapter for Kalulini High School, with hopes high for its elevation to a national institution in the near future.
