KASOA COMMISSIONS KATOTHYANI BOREHOLE WATER PROJECT, BENEFITING OVER 2,000 HOMESTEAD

Water scarcity has long plagued the people of Ukambani, but today Mwala residents took a major step toward relief. Aspiring Mwala MP Hon. Thomas Mweu Kasoa commissioned the Katothyani Borehole Water Reticulation Project in Mukandoni, marking a significant milestone in addressing the region’s water challenges.

The project will supply four strategic water points serving over 2,000 homesteads across Kalau, Makiliva-B, Upper Mukandoni, and Lower Mukandoni villages.
“This is more than just a development project — it’s about restoring dignity, health, and opportunity to our people,” Kasoa said during the commissioning ceremony. “Water is life, and I am committed to ensuring our communities never have to struggle for it again.”

Kasoa, who has declared his bid for the Mwala parliamentary seat in 2027, emphasized that the initiative is part of his broader vision to deliver practical, life-changing solutions for residents.

After the launch, he visited traders at Kyambae and Kandumbu markets in Mwala Ward, assuring them of inclusive and transparent leadership that prioritizes the needs of ordinary citizens.

Residents welcomed the project, noting that reliable access to clean water would significantly improve health standards, reduce the burden on women and children, and boost agricultural productivity in the area.

With the Katothyani Borehole now operational, Kasoa’s development track record is gaining attention, signaling a spirited and issues-based campaign ahead of the 2027 polls.
