HON. KIVASU NZIOKA : “LET’S WATCH OVER OUR CHILDREN AND BUILD STRONGER FAMILIES”

Mbooni MNA Hon. Kivasu Nzioka, has urged parents to take a leading role in guiding, mentoring, and protecting their children during the ongoing long holiday. Speaking during the Nzaini Adventist Education Center Promotion Sabbath held at the school grounds in Nzaini, Hon. Kivasu reminded families that the home remains the first school where discipline, respect, and responsibility are shaped.

The colorful Promotion Sabbath brought together Seventh-day Adventist churches within the Nzaini District for a day of worship, fellowship, and celebration of educational achievements. Hon. Kivasu commended the Adventist community for their continued commitment to nurturing both the spiritual and academic growth of learners, noting that faith-based education is key to building a morally upright society.
Hon.Kivasu called on parents to spend quality time with their children during the holiday, engage them in meaningful activities, and provide the guidance needed to keep them away from harmful influences. “Let us watch over our children, talk to them, and be present in their lives. The values they learn at home determine the kind of future they will have,” he said.

Hon. Kivasu also advised parents and guardians to remain vigilant during the ongoing rainy season, urging them to ensure children avoid flooded areas, stay warm, and maintain good hygiene to prevent waterborne diseases. He stressed the importance of keeping children safe, not just physically but also emotionally, as cases of neglect and exposure to harmful behavior tend to rise during holidays.
Reaffirming his dedication to the people of Mbooni, Hon. Kivasu pledged continued support for education, faith, and family-centered community programs. He emphasized that through unity and shared responsibility, Mbooni can raise a generation that upholds discipline, hard work, and moral integrity.

The well-attended Sabbath event, filled with worship songs, student performances, and words of encouragement, ended with a renewed call for families to prioritize love, faith, and guidance. “When we protect our children, we protect our future. Together, we can build stronger families and a greater Mbooni,” Hon. Kivasu concluded.
