MP Caleb Mule Vows to Fix Dilapidated Schools, Blames Munyaka for Misuse of Funds

Machakos Town Member of Parliament Caleb Mule has accused his predecessor Dr. Victor Munyaka of mismanaging education funds and neglecting key infrastructure in local schools. Mule alleged that the former MP prioritized the purchase of school buses for personal benefit while classrooms and sanitation facilities remained in deplorable condition.

Speaking on sunday after attending a church service at Munga’la AIC Church in Machakos, where he campaigned for Maendeleo Chap Chap Party candidate Harrison Wambua in the upcoming Mumbuni North MCA by-election, Mule said his administration would focus on revamping learning environments across the constituency.

"Our schools are in a sorry state, with broken toilets and overcrowded classrooms, yet my predecessor was busy buying buses to get commission. We must invest where it matters most — in infrastructure and student welfare,” Mule stated.

MP Caleb revealed plans to implement a comprehensive development program that will channel National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) resources into constructing new classrooms, rehabilitating old structures, and improving sanitation facilities. He emphasized transparency and accountability in the use of public funds, noting that every expenditure must yield tangible results for learners.“

"My focus is not on showy projects but on long-term impact. Every coin must improve the life of a child in Machakos,” he added.

Mule further pledged to work with Wambua Harrison to empower young people through employment initiatives and education opportunities if elected in the November 27 by-election.
