Machakos Gubernatorial aspirant Nzioka Waita has issued a strong message of gratitude to the residents of Machakos County, acknowledging the overwhelming feedback, messages, and concerns they continue to share with him as the 2027 elections draw closer. He noted that these engagements reflect a community that is alert, hopeful, and determined to shape its future.
Speaking during a media briefing, Waita emphasized that the people of Machakos are not just voters but key stakeholders whose voices must guide the county’s next phase of development. He said the issues consistently raised by residents—ranging from unemployment, stalled development projects, healthcare, water access, to economic opportunities—form the core of his vision for a transformed county.
He explained that his 2027 agenda will focus heavily on a people-first approach, ensuring that every development plan, policy, and decision reflects the needs, priorities, and aspirations of Machakos residents.
“From the messages I receive daily, it is clear that our people want responsible leadership, transparency, and sustainable solutions that can uplift every household,” Waita stated. “Your voices will shape every page of the manifesto we are preparing. Machakos deserves leadership that listens and delivers.”
He added that the youth remain at the heart of his vision—promising better economic opportunities, support for innovators, improved skills development, and a conducive environment for business growth.
Waita reaffirmed his commitment to an inclusive, accountable, and growth-driven administration, one that unites communities and positions Machakos as a model county in Kenya. He said his rallying call, “Masaku Mbee,” is not just a slogan, but a commitment to push the county forward through honest leadership, sound planning, and meaningful engagement with the people.
