Kaiti Member of Parliament, Hon. Joshua Kimilu, spent his Christmas Day at AIC Mumbuni Church where he joined congregants for a special Sunday service before leading a charitable outreach aimed at spreading love and strengthening community bonds. The service was filled with joy, praise, and thanksgiving as Christians celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ, reflecting on the message of hope, sacrifice, and salvation. Worshippers from different parts of Mumbuni gathered in large numbers, creating a warm and spiritually uplifting atmosphere that defined the true meaning of Christmas.
Addressing the congregation after the service, Hon. Joshua Kimilu underscored the importance of unity, peace, and coexistence among residents of Kaiti Constituency. He noted that Christmas is not only a time for celebration but also a moment for reflection on how communities can live together in harmony despite social and economic differences.
The MP called on residents to embrace dialogue, mutual respect, and collective responsibility, emphasizing that unity is the foundation of development and progress. He urged leaders, families, and the youth to work together in building a peaceful and cohesive society guided by Christian values.
In the spirit of giving, Hon. Joshua Kimilu donated Christmas gifts to members of the congregation and vulnerable families, a gesture aimed at sharing joy and easing the burden of the festive season. He emphasized that one does not need to be wealthy to make a difference, noting that even small acts of kindness can bring hope to those in need. The donation exercise was accompanied by moments of fellowship, interaction, and encouragement, as the MP mingled freely with church members.
