Machakos Governor H.E. Wavinya Ndeti has reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to delivering world-class healthcare services after leading a high-level engagement with global innovators and health sector partners at the World Health Expo 2026 in Dubai.
Speaking during a series of strategic meetings at the global forum, Governor Ndeti said the expo provided a valuable platform for Machakos County to explore cutting-edge medical technologies and forge partnerships aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery across the county.
The Governor noted that her administration is prioritizing the acquisition of advanced CT scan equipment to enable faster, more accurate diagnosis, significantly reducing referrals and waiting times for patients. She also emphasized plans to invest in state-of-the-art theatre and laboratory equipment, which will allow county hospitals to handle complex medical and surgical cases locally.
“Our goal is to ensure that Machakos residents can access high-quality diagnostic and treatment services without the burden of traveling long distances. This is about saving lives, time, and resources,” Governor Ndeti stated.
In addition, the county is seeking to modernize its emergency response systems through the procurement of modern, fully equipped ambulances, aimed at improving response times and enhancing life-saving interventions during emergencies.
Governor Wavinya Ndeti underscored that technology investments will go hand in hand with continuous capacity building for healthcare workers, ensuring that medical staff are fully equipped and trained to deliver dignified, efficient, and patient-centered care.
“My commitment to ensuring Machakos County has the best healthcare services remains steadfast. As we modernize our facilities, we are also empowering our dedicated medical personnel with the tools they need to serve our people better,” she said.
The World Health Expo 2026 brings together governments, healthcare providers, innovators, and investors from across the globe, making it one of the most influential platforms for shaping the future of healthcare.
