The Mbooni Member of the National Assembly Hon. Kivasu Nzioka, has reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the Church and accelerating development projects across Mbooni Constituency, saying faith and service remain central to his leadership philosophy.
Speaking during the Grand opening and dedication of ABC Uvuu Church in Kilyungi Sub-Pastorate, Kithungo/Kitundu Ward, Hon.Kivasu congratulated the congregation for successfully completing the construction of the church, describing the achievement as a testament to unity, sacrifice, determination and unwavering faith among believers.
Hon.Kivasu praised the church leadership and members for their commitment to advancing the work of God, noting that the newly dedicated sanctuary would serve as a spiritual home for generations and a centre for nurturing moral values within the community.
"Building a church is not merely putting up a structure. It is investing in the spiritual growth of our people and creating a place where families, children and future generations will encounter God and find guidance in life," he said.
Hon. Kivasu emphasized the important role religious institutions play in shaping society, promoting peace and fostering social cohesion. He noted that churches remain critical partners in community development by helping to instill discipline, integrity and hope among citizens.
He reiterated his support for religious organizations, stating that contributing to God's work is among the most meaningful investments individuals and leaders can make. He encouraged Christians to remain steadfast in their faith and continue supporting initiatives that strengthen the Church and uplift communities.
He further assured residents that while he remains committed to supporting spiritual growth, he is equally focused on delivering tangible development projects throughout Mbooni Constituency. According to the legislator, his leadership agenda continues to prioritize improved infrastructure, education, water access and economic empowerment programmes aimed at improving the quality of life for residents.
"I remain fully committed to working tirelessly for the people of Mbooni. My focus is on delivering transformative development that improves livelihoods and creates opportunities for our people," he told the congregation.
Hon. Kivasu also appealed to the faithful to keep him in their prayers as he continues to execute his mandate and champion development initiatives across the constituency. He said prayers and spiritual support from the Church play a vital role in strengthening leaders as they undertake the responsibility of serving the public.
