MEMA AFRICA CREATES EMOTIONAL REUNION AS LADY BISHOP KATHY KIUNA MEETS ANGELA CHIBALONZA'S DAUGHTER FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 19 YEARS

A touching and emotional moment unfolded during the memorial service marking the second anniversary of the late Bishop Allan Kiuna at Jubilee Christian Church (JCC) Parklands, as MEMA Africa reunited Lady Bishop Rev. Kathy Kiuna with Wonder Chibalonza, the daughter of late gospel music legend Angela Chibalonza.

The heartfelt reunion was carefully arranged by the MEMA Africa team as a special surprise for its Patron, Lady Bishop Kathy Kiuna. Upon her arrival at the memorial service, Wonder Chibalonza, now 19 years old and a current MEMA Africa nominee as well as a beneficiary of the MEMA mentorship program, warmly welcomed Lady Bishop Kathy with a bouquet of flowers.
What initially appeared to be a simple gesture quickly turned into an unforgettable emotional encounter.
Lady Bishop Kathy and the late Angela Chibalonza shared a close friendship before Angela's tragic death in a road accident nearly two decades ago. At the time of her mother's passing, Wonder was only nine months old, meaning the two had never met since Angela's untimely demise 19 years ago.

As Lady Bishop Kathy accepted the bouquet and was informed that the young lady before her was Angela Chibalonza's daughter, her expression immediately changed from surprise to deep emotion and joy. Witnesses described the moment as one filled with tears, smiles, memories, and heartfelt embraces.
The reunion served as a powerful reminder of the enduring legacy left behind by Angela Chibalonza, whose music and ministry continue to inspire millions across Africa years after her passing.

Those present at the memorial service were deeply moved by the encounter, with many describing it as one of the most touching moments of the day. The reunion brought comfort, healing, and fulfillment to both Wonder and Lady Bishop Kathy, whose spirits were visibly uplifted throughout the service.
MEMA Africa noted that the special moment reflects its broader mission beyond awards and recognition.
"MEMA Africa is committed not only to celebrating talent but also to preserving legacies, mentoring young creatives, building meaningful relationships, and creating life-changing moments that inspire generations," the organization stated.
Wonder Chibalonza's journey as a young gospel artist under the MEMA mentorship program symbolizes the continuation of her mother's legacy, offering hope that Angela Chibalonza's impact on gospel music will continue through future generations.

The emotional reunion stood as a beautiful testament to remembrance, friendship, legacy, and the power of reconnecting hearts separated by tragedy and time.
