More than 200 families in Ivumbuni area, Mumbuni North Ward, are set to benefit from a major electricity connection project, thanks to the efforts of Machakos Town MP Hon. Caleb Mule.
The project, aimed at enhancing access to reliable power supply, marks a significant milestone for the community, many of whom have lived without electricity for years. The connection will open up opportunities for economic growth, improved education, enhanced security, and overall better living standards.
Speaking about the initiative, Hon. Mule reaffirmed his commitment to delivering development projects that uplift the lives of his constituents. "Access to electricity is not a privilege — it is a necessity for every Kenyan household. We are working tirelessly to ensure that no family in Machakos Town Constituency is left behind," he said.
Residents of Ivumbuni expressed gratitude for the project, noting that electricity will transform their homes, businesses, and schools, and offer new opportunities especially for the youth.
This electricity connection project is part of Hon. Caleb Mule’s broader agenda to improve infrastructure and basic services across Machakos Town Constituency, in line with the Kenya Kwanza Government’s bottom-up economic transformation agenda.
Work on the project is already underway, and the first homes are expected to be connected to the grid in the coming weeks.
