Mbooni Member of Parliament Hon. Kivasu Nzioka has today disbursed development cheques totaling KSH 52,872,237 to fund 27 high-impact projects across the constituency, reaffirming his commitment to delivering transformative development at the grassroots.
The cheque issuance ceremony, held at Tawa Social Hall, brought together stakeholders from all six wards, including community leaders, Project Management Committees (PMCs), and members of the public. The projects, identified through community participation and aligned with the 2024/2025 financial year priorities, will focus on key sectors such as education, water, security, and administration.
In his address, Hon. Kivasu urged beneficiaries to uphold accountability and integrity in project implementation.
“This is not just money; it is the future of our children, our schools, and our villages. We must spend every cent wisely,” said Hon. Kivasu.
“Every ward has received a fair share. No one has been left behind. Development must be inclusive and equitable,” he added.
Hon. Kivasu emphasized that transparency remains at the heart of his leadership, warning that any misappropriation of public funds would not be tolerated.
“I will personally follow up on each project. I want to see classrooms built, water flowing, and lives changing,” he stated.
Several local leaders applauded the MP’s proactive approach.
“This kind of leadership is rare. Hon. Kivasu listens, consults, and delivers. These funds will go a long way in transforming our schools and community facilities.” - Hon. Ngovi, former MCA KITEGA/KISAU WARD
The disbursement is expected to spark economic activity across Mbooni and significantly boost service delivery at the grassroots.
As the event concluded, the mood was celebratory, with chants of “Tuzidi Kujenga Mbooni Pamoja!” echoing across the hall—an affirmation of the unity and hope that Hon. Kivasu's development agenda continues to inspire.
