Kibwezi West MP Hon. Mwengi Mutuse has expressed deep satisfaction with the success of the Makueni Constituency Empowerment Drive held at Wote, describing it as a turning point in the region’s development journey.
Speaking after the event, Hon. Mutuse praised the overwhelming turnout and warm reception from residents, saying it reflected the people's hunger for meaningful engagement and progress.
“This empowerment drive exceeded expectations. The people of Makueni have shown love, warmth, and a clear desire to walk the path of transformation,” he said.
Mutuse singled out Deputy President H.E. Prof. Kithure Kindiki for what he termed a powerful and clear presentation on government development projects earmarked for Makueni. He emphasized that for the first time in many years, the region is now witnessing large-scale national government interventions.
He challenged fellow leaders to put aside political differences and align with the government for the sake of service delivery.
“I urge all elected leaders from Makueni and the greater Ukambani region to embrace the government of the day. Development is not about political camps — it’s about delivering for the people who entrusted us with leadership,” he remarked.
Hon. Mutuse reaffirmed his commitment to championing development and unity, noting that their mission to bring real change is already bearing fruit.
“We are in the business of converting hearts and uplifting lives. And we’re just getting started,” he concluded.
