Machakos County Woman Representative Hon. Joyce Kamene Kasimbi has continued her grassroots empowerment drive through the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF), with Mwala Sub-County emerging as one of the biggest beneficiaries.
Speaking during the NGAAF Empowerment Initiative events held in Kibauni and Muthetheni wards, Hon. Kamene praised residents for embracing the empowerment programs and urged them to make good use of the support provided to improve their livelihoods and strengthen their community enterprises.
“As we continue with our empowerment agenda, I urge all beneficiaries to utilize whatever you have received from NGAAF to empower yourselves and the community at large,” she said.
In line with preparations for the upcoming rainy season, the Woman Rep also distributed seeds to more than 70 vulnerable families from both wards to promote food security and self-sustainability.
Among the items issued during the exercise included catering utensils, tents, chairs, and assorted seeds, aimed at boosting small-scale business ventures and supporting group projects across Mwala Sub-County.
Hon. Kamene reaffirmed her commitment to ensuring that NGAAF continues to reach every corner of Machakos County, empowering women, youth, and vulnerable groups to become economically independent.
