He spoke at Kithimani, Machakos County during the National Tree Planting Day exercise.
The exercise was conducted nationwide, inline with government's agenda which seeks to ensure that 15 Billions trees are planted by 2032.
CEO George adviced Kenyans to plant trees everywhere in a move to green Kenya.
"It is the hightime we plant trees even during our own events to leave a legible mark. Let's plant trees during wedding ceremonies, Birthday ceremonies, Ruracio ceremonies, Funeral Ceremonies and during all events, to help green our country and mitigate climate change effects "- said George.
He noted that Kenyans tend to plant trees and fail to take care of them to maturity, asking Kenyans to seize from that behaviour and ensure total protection of the planted trees.
"Let's not waste time planting trees then we ignore the basic point of taking good care of the trees. Let's keep away our domestic animals from accessing our planted trees areas"- added George.
"This rain season everyone should plant trees atleast equivalent to everyone's age. This will help tame climate change effects. You all remember how last year was a hard year for Kenyans due to effects of Climate Change "
“By planting trees, we not only enhance the beauty of our landscape but also contribute to carbon absorption, climate regulation, and biodiversity preservation,”
