"Address Doctor's Grievances, Kenyans Are Suffering "- Yatta MP Robert Basil Tells Government

Member of the National Assembly for Yatta Constituency in Machakos County Robert Ngui Basil has called on the government to swiftly address Doctor's Grievances to end the ongoing strike , saying that many Kenyans are suffering with many more losing lives on daily basis due to lack of medical attention. 

Speaking in Nairobi on Tuesday during the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party media briefing, MP Basil said that there is a need for the government, specifically Health Minister Susan Nakhumicha to be humane enough, and address Doctor's concerns.

"By today, we've lost many Kenyans due to the ongoing doctor's strike. The government should have handled Doctor's Grievances, but they seem not caring and humane, " said Basil
Basil said that the government has all the means to have its way, if it's willing.

"Our mothers are giving birth on the streets. This is a shame"- revealed Basil

He called on President William Ruto to step in and address the ongoing doctor's strike

MP Basil is one among a section of MPs who have threatened to impeach Health CS Susan Nakhumicha over the ongoing strike.

Doctors have since vowed not to relent despite a court ruling ordering them back to work.

Following Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party press statement, over 500 patients have died as a result of the crisis.

Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka, during the address, he noted that the ongoing doctor's strike has highlighted the incompetency of the Kenya Kwanza regime in dealing with the healthcare system in the country.

MCA Hellen Ndeti Urges Parents To Keep Children Away From Rivers During The Ongoing Rains.

Machakos Wiper Nominated MCA Hellen Ndeti has urged parents to protect their children from raging waters, occasioned by the ongoing heavy rains in most parts of the country.

Speaking to RADA TV KENYA on Tuesday, MCA Hellen Ndeti warned parents that since the children have closed schools for the April holiday, they should keep safeguarding and stop them from loitering along the rivers and bridges.

"Schools are now closed. Kindly keep good watch on your children. Don't let them loiter around rivers"- Said Hellen Ndeti
“I have noted that several kids are loitering around the bridges & rivers. Kindly stop your children to prevent the risk of them drowning ," added Ndeti

Directing her address to the children, MCA Hellen Ndeti urged them to keep themselves busy with revision and working on assignments, instead of loitering in markets and rivers.

She called on Kenyans to use the available rain water to plant more trees to help mitigate climate change effects.

"We now have plenty or natural water from rains. Kindly let's plant more trees. This will help fight climate change effects and green Kenya"

Moreover, Ndeti called for unity of leaders, specifically in Machakos, saying that it's through unity and togetherness, service delivery will be easily achieved.
