Robert Basil, Yatta member of the National Assembly on Friday rallied the Lower Eastern Region to register as voters in large numbers, so as to have a voice in National politics and help Kalonzo Musyoka win for Presidency, come 2027.
Speaking at Kalyambeu in Ikombe Ward during the burial ceremony of the late Mama Phyllis Ndila Mutie who was the mother-in-law to former Yatta MP Hon.Charlse Kilonzo, MP Basil said that the ground is ripe for Kalonzo, and this is the perfect time for Kambas to stand in solidarity with one of their own, Kalonzo, and take the top seat home come 2027 during the general elections.
Basil noted that the region has so many people who are not yet registered as voters, urging those who aren't registered to register themselves when the exercise is announced, so as to be able to exercise their democratic right of voting in the year 2027.
"What matters in politics is numbers. We have a major problem in Ukambani. Most of the people from this region are not registered voters. Kindly when the exercise is announced, make sure you register as voters. This will give the Kamba Community a voice in National politics"- said MP Basil.
He pointed out that the region can only be considered in National Politics if its vote- rich.
The Super Yatta MP Robert Basil rallied for Kalonzo Musyoka's Presidency, saying this is the high time when all leaders should come together and work on a target goal.
"This is not the time to show who is who in this region. It's a time when we need to come together as leaders, think on how best to help Kalonzo Musyoka win for Presidency come 2027. Let's put our differences aside and work together to transform this nation"- added MP Basil
"Kalonzo Musyoka is the 6th President of the Republic of Kenya, if they like it or not, but that's the truth. We are ready and we are going for it. Kalonzo is unbeatable "- said MP Basil
According to MP Robert Basil, the only saviour of the country will be Kambas kingpin, Kalonzo Musyoka, who will rescue Kenyans from the high cost of living.
